Episode 4

well..i arrived in london and im in the train now on my way to manchester now to meet up with lin kheng..like all other places i have been..its cold...kinda got used to the weather conditions like this..

the ride from paris to london on the eurostar kinda sucked...i got a seat with a very bad view cos the window from my seat was kinda small..met up with lots of hongkies which was on tour...so got a chance to speak lotsa cantonese after so long..haha

paris was practically filled with tourists and by tourists i mean lotsa lotsa japs...everywhere i go i met japs all over the place and i was also sharing the hostel room with japs when i was staying in the hostel in paris..just cant figure out the fascination of the japs with paris...

a really interesting thing happened to me in paris yesterday...i bought two purses from Louis Vuitton from their boutique for 640 Euros!!...no dont do the wahhhhhhhhh part first...it was not for me...as i was walking along the streets in Paris, a guy approached me together with his wife and asked if i spoke english...turns out he's a Malaysian from JB with a Shanghainese wife...and to complete the connection..he's also a hainanese...hahaha ...what a coincidence...of all places..in Paris

so as his story goes..his wife really liked the LV purses and they kinda like oredi bought a lot...and the store just wont sell any more to them for some reasons...maybe their afraid that we Asians will look more stylo milo than them..haha...or he's buying it for criminal reasons or whatever it is..haha..so being a good samaritan, i helped him...there's also something in store for me..there's this thing called tax return for tourists buying things in Europe..the tax here is at 19% and for foreigners who shop above a certain amount, you can claim this tax back when ur leaving at the airport..so now u can delete the me being the good samaritan section of ur thoughts...

so as it goes..i helped them buy two purses at Louis Vuitton and for that im rewarded with almost 80 Euros...guess sometimes u do get free money from the streets..hehehe..and the experience of being treated like a rich and famous at the store was reall y enjoyable..too bad i dont have 320 Euros to splurge for a purse though..haha

its good to finally be back in an english speaking country after bout 8 months..really a relief to be seeing english written signboards and all...for so long i had to comprehend with following my hunch when walking around at the other places ive been to

england looks beautiful..but a lil too gloomy from the cloudy and threatening skies..lets hope for the rest of my stay here the weather will be fine..day 5 of 19 and loving every bit of it! looks like my dream did come true after all..

sorry no pics for now..will update them later ppl...adios!
